Description

The Monday Muck About is an opportunity for makers to continue at Waldie’s, working on self-directed projects.

In addition to the use of studio equipment and tools, Muckers (as they’re affectionately known) have access to technical / material / conceptual / aesthetic support / encouragement as required / desired. At the first of every 5 sessions, Muckers are invited to a one-on-one Sit Down With the Sensei (because alliteration) to discuss their creative ambitions, reflect on work completed thus far and plan their next steps.

Muckers are graduates of Waldie’s 1 (the Introductory Intensive) or Chuckin’ Tuesday.

Muck About Sessions run continuously throughout the year and are designed to be flexible – buy a 5 session pass and you’ve eight weeks to use them up (ie it doesn’t matter if you miss a class).

Muckers also have the opportunity to join in our semi-regular skill share sessions on topics such as glaze development, plaster and raku.

What’s included:

  • 5 sessions
  • Monday: 2:00 – 5:00 or 6:00pm – 9:00pm
  • Thursday: 10:00 – 1:00 or 6:00 – 9:00pm
  • Maximum: 9 students

If you would like to become a Mucker, send us an email – hello@waldies.com.au and we’ll get you started asap.
The Monday Muck About runs continuously throughout the year with a short break over Christmas.

Covid-19 Vaccination Policy

As much as we wish Covid were over, it’s still very much with us.

Waldie’s is a small school and like all communities, we must consider our most vulnerable.

We are keeping our student numbers low, sanitising and hand-washing regularly and taking all necessary precautions to prevent a workplace outbreak.

We ask that all staff, members, and students show proof of vaccination (or a medical exemption) before entering the premises. We trust that this is the best way to protect our local and extended community and thank you for your support.
